Getting started
What is DewCue?
DewCue is a Chrome extension for reminders, email follow-ups, page sticky notes, timers, and optional wellbeing nudges. Reminder cards appear right on the page you’re using, a slim ribbon keeps your next reminder or timer in view, and the side panel shows your Today, Upcoming, and Overdue lists while you work.

Do I need an account to create reminders?
No. You can create reminders without creating a DewCue account. Premium activation is separate: the licence server stores only the email address you enter and your licence key.

Which browser does DewCue support?
DewCue is designed as a Chrome extension. Support for other browsers, a mobile app, and a standalone desktop app has not been confirmed. Check extension availability before planning your setup.

Can I type a reminder in everyday English?
Yes. Type it the way you’d say it, such as “pay rent on the 5th” or “water every hour 9 to 6 weekdays,” or tap one of the suggestion chips. Check the saved schedule so it matches what you meant.

Which languages and shortcuts does DewCue support?

Can I save a web page to revisit with a reminder?
Yes. When you choose the DewCue toolbar or right-click capture action, DewCue can save the page title, web address, and any selected text. Give the reminder a clear action and check its saved date and time. The captured page copy stays on the computer where you saved it.

Can I turn highlighted text into a reminder?
Yes. Select the text you want to keep and use DewCue’s toolbar or right-click capture action. DewCue saves the selected text with the page title and address because you requested the capture. Check that the saved text contains enough context to understand the task later.
Use selected text in a reminder

Can I leave a sticky note on a web page?
Yes. Pin a note to any page and it reappears when you return to that page. Tap once to turn the note into a reminder. Free includes 10 sticky notes; Premium makes them unlimited. Sticky notes use the optional all-sites permission you turn on yourself.

Does capturing a page save a complete offline copy of the website?
The documented capture saves a page title, web address, and selected text. It should not be treated as a full-page archive. Keep enough context in the reminder to recognize the task, and check the original page when you return to it.

Will captured page text appear on my other computer?
The saved copy of a page title, address, and selected text stays on the computer where you captured it. Reminder syncing is a separate part of DewCue. Do not assume that a reminder appearing on another computer means the locally captured page information has transferred too.

Can I see my reminders beside the page I am working on?
Yes. DewCue’s Chrome side panel puts the same reminder list beside your current page with more room to view it. You do not need to create a separate set of reminders for the panel. Review Today, Upcoming, and Overdue to choose your next action.

Reminders
Where will my reminders appear?
By default, a reminder card appears at the top right of the page you’re on, and it stays until you act. You can choose system notifications instead, or both. On-page cards use an optional permission for all sites that you turn on yourself. A test-notification button in settings, with a short fix guide, helps you check that alerts reach you.
Choose and check your alerts
Choose and check your alerts
What can I do when a reminder appears?
Each card offers Done, Snooze, Reschedule, and Open page, plus Join when the reminder has a meeting link. Mark it done when the task is finished, snooze it with one of your own snooze presets when you need more time, or reschedule it for a better moment. Choose the action that reflects the task's actual status to keep your list useful.

What is the ribbon at the edge of the page?
It’s DewCue’s slim on-page ribbon, with the hummingbird. It shows a running timer or your next reminder at a glance. Drag it wherever it suits you, or hide it on any site where you’d rather not see it.

What happens to reminders I miss?
When you come back after time away, a “While you were away” summary shows the reminders you missed, so you can mark them done, snooze them, or reschedule them in one place.

What is “Can’t miss” mode?
“Can’t miss” mode is a Premium option for reminders that really matter: the soft chime repeats until you mark the reminder done. You can still set chime volume and quiet hours.

Can I create repeating reminders?
Yes. Repeating reminders are part of DewCue. The Free plan includes five repeat reminders, and Premium removes that Free plan limit. Check the saved repeat schedule before relying on it for a recurring task.

How are my reminders organized?
DewCue separates reminders into Today, Upcoming, and Overdue. Today helps you see what needs attention now, Upcoming shows what is ahead, and Overdue helps you revisit unfinished reminders. You can also search, add notes to a reminder, and pause a reminder or a whole bucket. A toolbar badge shows the count, and the side panel shows the same list.

What are buckets used for?
Buckets are a place for client or project update logs and notes. Use one to keep the context you will need when you return to a task. Bucket content stays local, and the Free plan includes three buckets.

Will reminders arrive when Chrome is idle, closed, or my computer is asleep?
Reminder cards still appear after Chrome has been idle, and a “While you were away” summary shows anything you missed when you come back. DewCue can’t promise an alert while Chrome is closed, the computer is asleep, or the network is off. Test your actual setup, keep a separate backup for time-critical tasks, and review Today and Overdue when you return.

Email follow-ups
How do email follow-ups work in DewCue?
Turn on email follow-ups for your webmail and DewCue adds tiny “Reply?”, “Follow up?”, and “Due 3 PM” tags to your inbox list, using only what’s visible on the page. You can also pick an email and set a time to return to it. At the scheduled time, the reminder prompts you to open the conversation and decide what happens next.

Which email services work with DewCue?
Yes. Email follow-ups work on webmail in Chrome, including Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, Zoho Mail, and Hostinger webmail. You turn them on yourself, and DewCue only reads what’s visible on the webmail pages you open. It never asks you to sign in to your email account or gives itself access to your mailbox.

Does DewCue automatically detect whether someone has replied?
No. DewCue does not monitor your mailbox or connect to your email account. The small “Reply?” and “Follow up?” tags in your inbox list are gentle prompts based on what’s visible on the page. You open the conversation, check for a reply, and decide whether another follow-up is needed.

Will DewCue send emails for me?
No. DewCue reminds you to revisit a conversation. You read the email, decide whether a reply is needed, and send any message yourself through your email service.

Which timers are included?
DewCue includes a stopwatch, a countdown with any time you choose, and a Pomodoro timer. A card lets you know when time’s up, and the on-page ribbon can show a running timer while you work. All timers are included in Free.

What can the wellbeing reminders help me remember?
Optional nudges can remind you about water, eyes, posture, and breaks. Choose the prompts that fit your day. The Free plan includes two wellness nudges, and Premium removes that Free plan limit.
Add a gentle break routine
Add a gentle break routine
Can I quiet the wellbeing nudges during meetings or after work?
Yes. Set quiet hours for meetings or after work, and turn the soft chimes on or off or change their volume. Quiet-hour settings can sync through Chrome; the wellbeing nudge settings themselves stay on the computer you use.

Birthdays & milestones
Can I keep birthdays and milestones in DewCue?
Yes. DewCue includes birthdays and milestones. Free allows five birthdays and one milestone; Premium removes those Free plan limits. These entries stay local to the computer you use. Check the available settings and saved details in your installed version before relying on them for an important date.
Understand birthdays and milestones

Do birthdays and milestones sync to another computer?
No. Birthdays and milestones are stored locally on the computer where you keep them. They are not included in the reminder data that uses Chrome sync. Check the original computer and preserve the dates you need before changing computers or uninstalling DewCue.

Backup & devices
Can I download a backup of my DewCue data?
Yes. DewCue makes an automatic backup every day, and you can download a backup file whenever you like or export your reminders to CSV. The backup file belongs to you and is not uploaded by DewCue.

Is Chrome sync a complete backup of DewCue?
No. DewCue uses Chrome sync for reminders, quiet hours, and the notification choice. Buckets, notes, birthdays, milestones, and other local data are outside that set. Check both the synced and local parts of your setup before changing computers.

What should I check before moving DewCue to another computer?
Keep the original computer available, check that Chrome sync is enabled for the intended profile, and verify the reminders and synced settings on the new computer. Separately preserve the local information you need. Confirm the backup transfer process and your Premium device allowance before removing the old installation.
Follow the computer-change checklist

What happens to my data if I uninstall DewCue?
Uninstalling removes DewCue’s local copy. Chrome sync may still hold reminders on your Google account until Chrome removes them, but this is not a promise of recovery. Preserve important local information and confirm any backup recovery process before uninstalling. Removing Premium from a computer is a different action.
Check your data before uninstalling

Can I restore a downloaded backup on a new computer?
Yes. Use import in DewCue’s backup settings to bring a downloaded backup into DewCue on the new computer. Check your reminders after the import, and keep the original computer and file available until you’re happy everything has arrived. Ask hello@dewcue.com if anything looks different.
Prepare a verified transfer

Why are my notes and buckets missing on another computer?
Buckets, update logs, and local notes stay on the computer where you create them. Their absence on another computer does not by itself mean reminder sync has failed. Check the original computer for that content and review the separate sync and local-storage lists.

Does DewCue read or upload the pages I visit?
DewCue does not upload pages or collect browsing history. On-page cards, the ribbon, and page sticky notes use an optional permission for all sites that you turn on yourself; showing a card or the ribbon does not read the page. A page title, URL, or highlighted text is saved only when you capture it through the toolbar or right-click action, and a sticky note is kept on your computer with the page it belongs to.

What email information does DewCue save?
Only when you turn on email follow-ups for a webmail site, DewCue reads what’s already visible on the webmail pages you open, such as the subject, sender name, and message link, to show its tags and save follow-ups. It does not ask for email sign-in, does not access your email account, and does not send email information to a DewCue server.

What syncs, and what stays on my computer?
Reminders, quiet hours, and your notification choice can sync between computers using the same Chrome profile with sync enabled. Buckets, notes, timer data, wellbeing nudges, birthdays, milestones, themes, follow-up preferences, and completed history stay local. Premium licence records are stored separately on DewCue’s licence server.
