The useful answer
Pick one task and use DewCue's stopwatch, a countdown with your own time, or the Pomodoro timer to give it a clear boundary. The ribbon keeps the timer in view and a card tells you when time’s up. Follow a focus session with a short break, and enable only the wellbeing nudges you find useful.
Choose a timer for the task
A stopwatch is useful when you want to see how long a task takes. A countdown with your own time gives a task a defined window. The Pomodoro option provides a simple starting point: 25 minutes of focus followed by a 5-minute break. When time’s up, a card lets you know.
Before starting, write down one achievable outcome. “Review the first two pages” is easier to act on than “Finish everything.”
- Choose one task and decide what progress would look like.
- Start the timer that fits the task.
- At the end, note your next step before taking a break.
Let reminders support your day
DewCue's optional wellbeing nudges cover water, eyes, posture, and breaks. Start with one or two prompts you are likely to use. You can leave the others off.
Use quiet hours or mute for meetings, uninterrupted work, or the end of your day. These controls apply to the wellbeing nudges; check your task-reminder settings separately.
Adjust the routine to fit the work
A timer is a boundary you choose, not a score you need to beat. If the task changes, choose a more practical next session. All timers, including custom countdowns, are included in Free.
Timer data and wellbeing nudges stay local, while quiet-hour settings can sync through Chrome. Check your setup on the computer you are using, and keep task deadlines in your reminder list so they remain easy to review.
